Supported Housing
Bield provides a range of housing solutions for older people in most parts of Scotland.
We have:
- Over 3,300 sheltered and amenity houses and flats for rent.
- Over 500 very sheltered properties for rent for frail older people.
- Over 400 properties managed by Bield for owner-occupiers and other landlords.
Accommodation is provided in flats and cottages. All properties offer basic features such as full central heating, emergency call system providing 24-hour cover, high standards of safety and security and garden maintenance. A higher level of support and service is available in sheltered and very sheltered housing. Additional services include a scheme manager, who provides support and assistance to tenants as well as a local management service.
A higher level of support and meals are available in very sheltered housing compared with sheltered. Personal care is not provided by Bield in supported housing, but may be available through the normal community care arrangements.
