Response 24
Bield's 24-hour response service was initially established to provide an emergency call facility for Bield tenants during periods when the Scheme Manager was off duty.
Response 24 has grown over the years to provide for a broader range of needs to a more diverse group of users.
The majority of Response24 users are not Bield tenants. It provides a means of contacting help in an emergency at any time of the day, every day of the year. This can be help of a personal nature, eg after a fall, or property related, eg a water leak.
Today more than seventy housing association and local authorities utilise the services offered by Response24 extending to over 24,000 households across Scotland.
Recent upgrading of equipment means that Response 24 is now one of the largest and most technologically advanced centres of its type in Scotland.
Response24 is a member of the Association of Social Alarm Providers (ASAP) and complies fully with its code of practice.
