Home & Day Care

Home Care involves the delivery of care and support to frail older people in their own homes.

Bield's existing home care projects are based in Fife and provide a service for older people with dementia. The key factor of the home care projects is flexibility with a willingness to deliver home support services when and where required.

The Levenmouth project in Fife received UK recognition as an example of best practice in the delivery of home solutions.

New flexicare projects have recently been established in Glasgow. The service supports people who have memory difficulties or a diagnosis of dementia. Flexicare provides any kind of support that will enhance the client or their carers quality of life.

Day care, Bield operates a small number of day care centres. Day centres are specially designed or adapted buildings, with the needs of frail older people catered for.

Day care offers companionship and the opportunity to do a wide range of activities like arts and crafts and keep fit. Snacks and meals are available during the day. Transport to and from the centres is usually arranged by Bield.
